I recently obtained a rooster. He has very long back claws, two or three inches long. Should I clip them?

Gina F answered about as good as one can the only thing i can add is this.In winter some breeds of hens stop laying so if you are in Australia this could be why they have stopped laying. If you are north of the equator it is a tad early yet for hens to be molting.A chicken can molt at any time and takes months to do so.Though on average the molt does not occur till the daylight hours start to decrease. The reason being for fresh plumage during the colder months.
