Why is it Betty Friedan, the Founder of Modern Feminism, a hard-core Communist?

Well, Communism has a real bad name (and rightly so) and that being the case, if you are foolish enough to BE a Communist, you don't advertise it. You have to be subtle and secretive. But in reality, anyone who knows something about the reality of Communism would avoid it like the plague. It's the idealists who see only the idea of everyone working together for the common good, and sharing everything, and nobody being poor and starving, who remain Communist. Trouble is, people don't work that way, as demonstrated by the old Russian Communism, Castro, North Korea, etc. It always end up with the few living well, while everyone else suffers. Even the Chinese finally realised that Capitalism is the only way, albeit controlled by the old Commie style leadership.
