Can you get a restraining order on someone against their will?

I'm 18 & my mentor who is 58 hit me & slapped me, and pulled my hair in front of my dad who is a lawyer. She was frustrated with me because I told my stepmom to screw off. My dad is a Lawyer and wants to get a restraining order on my mentor against my will. Can he get a restraining order without my consent? My mentor and I have been friends for 8 years & she didn't mean to do it. I forgive her & I don't want to ruin our friendship over this!! What should I do about my dad? He won't change his mind!!
