My friend is slowly turning on me and others, and she she's rude?

I've been really close with this friend for quite a few years. Last year we would hang out on the weekends and do things together. This year she has pretty much ditched all of her close friends, including myself, and is only hanging out with 1 girl. It bothers me and others because they seem to be turning into bitches. My dog tries to hide his pain and pretends he is normal when he is not. This is very sad for me, because i feel he is trying to fool me. His condition is fragile. He is 14 year old GSD and has arthritis, gastro-intestinal problems, toothaches, irritable eyes (as they get pink on their own). he has weak immunity and is prone to get sick quickly because his natural defenses have deteriorated severely. Despite all this, he still tries to hide his pain. He pretends he is fit and normal, when the truth is painfully obvious. He cannot climb stairs but he forces himself to climb stairs, only to impress me. By doing this, he gives me hurt and pain. He stopped on the second stair, and when i said, "poor boy. i am there for you". He then climbed faster 3 more stairs in excruciating pain and stopped. Then when i lifted him, he tried to resist. It was artificial resistance. His behavior of hiding his pain really hurts me a lot and i want to let him know there is no shame in showing his pain. it just makes me cry

I feel as if certain churches are not as welcoming as others, but...?

If Jesus teaches Christians to open their arms to newcomers in the faith, why are there such strict rules to communion etc.? Why can't those partake in it that haven't gone through certain rituals? It makes the whole things seem very clique-ish and casts away outsiders. I have found this to be true with the Lutheran denomination and the Catholic faith when I tried to take communion although I was never initiated into the faith. Does God demand such initiation as a college fraternity does? Doesn't he just see that our hearts are right and love hime? Isn't it a paradox to welcome new people into the churhc, but say they aren't "truly" a part of the church and can't take communion if they havent' been initiated? It just seems a bit hypocritical, but I could be wrong. I just felt weird staying behind in my pew at m during communion. When I move one hand, the other moves the same way?

My grandma came from a family of 13 kids. They were all raised Orthodox Jewish, and came from a long family tree of Judaism. But, my grandma was one of the youngest in her huge family and was very young when her Dad died. After he died, her Mom had all the kids work to help make ends meet. Her Dad was no longer there to take the kids to temple and everyone had to work, so my grandma never practiced Judaism. She never denounced her Judaism, but just never practiced. My grandma married a Jewish man, who also was not active in Judaism. Hence, my Dad didn't practice Judaism. My Dad married my Mom (who has no Jewish background in her family tree). I've heard that even if my Dad's side is Jewish, since my Mom isn't, I'm not considered even part Jewish, because Judaism is ped through the woman. Is that true? I Feel Guilty About Kissing My Mom?

From when I can first remember until I was about 10, my mom use give me kisses. But as I got older, she would do it less and less, probably because she thought it might be awkward for me. Lennox fireplace switch issue?

My parents just moved into a new house and I was over there helping with some new-home chores. I noticed the fireplace was completely off so I went over and got the pilot going. When I hit the switch, the pilot light would get somewhat bigger and then return to normal. I finally got it to completely ignite and got the firing going after several attempts. Once I turned off the switch, I could no longer get pilot to ignite the fireplace anymore. My guess is that the switch is faulty, but is it possible that it maybe something else?

Dog doesn't listen when we're outside. How do I get her to focus on me?

My dog is like night and day inside and outside. Inside, she is very attentive, follows me everywhere and watches every move I make. She is about to finish advanced obedience cl and is doing fantastic. However, once we go outside she turns into what I like to call the "beast." All of her natural instincts take over and I'm lucky to get her to listen to me once out of every ten commands. It's like she doesn't even hear me. She is just more interested in sniffing and pulling and trying to chase squirrels. She's a very strong dog too...so she can literally drag me. Now, we have mostly fixed this problem on walks with a choke collar and training (suggested by our obedience teacher), but now we are doing agility training and I have a hard time keeping her focused and behaved while the other dogs are having their turns on the equipment. What kinds of things can I do to get her to focus her attention on me more when we are outside? I've tried treats...she doesn't even care about them when she is outside...

Dog housebreaking at night change after 3 yrs.?

My Yorkie/Jack Male is 3 yrs. old and I crate trained him for one year when I got him. He goes outside and also on a pee pad (just for the 2nd duty). I bring him out to pee just before bed every night. During the day he can hold it for up to 10 hrs. Last night I brought him out at 11:00 p.m. and he peed on the pad sometime during the night. He has been doing this off and on for the past couple of months. If I forget to put a pee pad down, he will go on my bathroom carpet. Sometimes, he will choose to just go on the carpet and not the pee pad. He never goes in the house during the day whether we are home or not. Is he just getting lazy? Should I re-crate him nightly for a few weeks? This only happens about once a week.

I recently made a consultation appointment for my daughter for braces, in which I was told over the phone would be $100. At the consultation, the orthodontist took x-rays, an impression model of her teeth, took some digital camera photos of her face and said we should come back in two weeks to discuss her diagnosis and treatment options. As I went to pay, her receptionist said the total for the consultation was $800, when I mentioned that they said on the phone it would be $100, the orthodontist said yes, $100 to meet with her. Then there would be an additional $300 for x-rays, $300 for the impression model and $100 for taking digital photos. Of course, I wasn't too happy and paid this, has this happened to others before and does a physician have a right to give you a quote on the phone then at the consultation start adding additional services on top of that quote that results in a much larger final fee? I've never been to a wedding without mints and nuts. I think its just something that people decided goes well with cake or something because they always have them near the cake at the ones i have been to. There are a few kinds that are not as nasty, but i think that either way, no one cares if they are there or not. If you have plenty of food it should be fine without them, but if she insists just set them out and forget they are there. Going to college with a new baby can be difficult. I would not say it is impossible but when the baby is new and has not yet started sleeping through the night the mother gets hardly no sleep and it takes all that you can do just to do what you have to do the next day. I started when my first born was new (about two months). It was really stressful for me so I dropped out and I didn't go back until she was four. Any ideas on how to clean carpet after feline distemper case?

Recently I got a kitten from the local shelter. He seemed really healthy and happy and then 3 days later I had to have him euthanized because he came down with a really bad strain of feline distemper. Subsidized child care?

I recently bought a house with my husband. My Husband works full time. We are having our best friend move in with us. He has a 10 week old child, and also works full time. I don't have a job and would be watching his child full time for him. Would I be able to get paid by the state or the government for watching his child full time? How would I go about this. I live in the Bay Area of California. Hopefully I can get some answers since I am now posting it in the appropriate category. =)

I am a Christian and he is Mormon?

I have a boyfriend whom I have been dating for a little over three months. I am fourteen and he is sixteen. I know I am very young, but I feel the beginnings of love. He is a very devout follower of the LDS church, and until recently, I was not certain in my faith. I realize now that I believe in true Christianity. Although we believe in the same God, our beliefs other than that are vastly different. I talked to my pastor today about that Mormon religion, and I have come to realize that if I want to stay with my boyfriend for a long time, one of us would have to convert willingly to the others religion. If he continues to follow the LDS church and I do not, we would never be married in a temple if we chose to be married many years from now. I have been told that there are also many other complications in an interfaith relationship. I have been pondering what to do about our relationship. I feel like I should stay with him for now, and continue to learn about his religion while still asking him to open his mind to mine. However, sometimes I feel as though it will not be worth my time and devotion. Any thoughts?

Most Challenging and fun mmorpg?

I've played WoW for a good 2 years, got bored of it after getting a few 80s. I've played Guild Wars and beat all campaigns. I've played Warhammer Online and thought it was too easy. I've played EQ2 and didn't like the fighting styles, and the variety of choices. I've played Lord Of The Rings Online, I liked it, but my computer broke down and I settled for a laptop (can run most games on high graphics, like GW and WaR). So now I've played a few of the best mmorpgs out there. I need another choice. Thoughts on weed and the economy?

i was watching the news and the american debt keeps growing. personally i think that if the government wanted an easy way to cut costs they should start with the prisons, in my opinion the prisons in america are way too soft. we give the prisoners a free life where they don't have to work. our prisons are a joke. and we keep putting people in jail over weed. every 35 seconds someone is arrested for marijuana. its impossible to overdose on marijuana and a cigarette is even worse than a blunt of weed because of the additives and addiction. In the end the government is losing money by having it illegal, and would be better off having it legalized even if they didnt profit they wouldnt lose money. These are just my thoughts, correct me if im wrong but i think i make a good argument, so now i ask what do you think.

My grandmother had a stroke over the holidays, though now she is fine and recovering. I will be joining a development istance project in Malawi, Africa, very soon. Internet access is extremely limited, as is packing space. Does anyone have a recommendation for an extremely complete text I might take along? Is having faith that God exists, the same as having faith that your Family/Partner loves you?

No it is not. Faith is the belief in something that you have no proof of. A person has proof someone loves them by the way they treat them. This is called inductive faith. It's like waking up. People are pretty sure they're going to wake up because they've woke up every day of their lives. Therefore they have proof they're more than likely going to wake up and proof someone loves them. Where as, having faith in something that no one has ever been able to present any credible evidence for, such as a god or gods is simply believing in something that just isn't provable and probably not real. Besides, have you read the Bible or any other Holy books? Those gods are hardly worth worshiping. If someone is treating you badly and asking you to accept their love on faith alone, they do not love you.

Why hate someone because they have a different political view?

I have been called both a Liberal Democrat and a Conservative Republican by people on and off this website. To be honest I don’t consider myself either. I vote for the individual instead of the party. I agree with many things the Republicans have to say, but I think that Democrats also have a lot of good ideas. I think that debate and disagreement is a natural part of politics, however some people profess hatred for someone that does not have a similar view. I don't believe the majority of Liberal Democrats are lazy people living off of the system and I don't believe most Conservative Republicans are greedy elitists. Let me know if you agree/disagree.

It's probably just your metabolism. A lot of people just need to continusely eat because their body tells them that they are always hungry. As long as you aren't constantly eating fatty foods and aren't gaining weight, this shouldn't be a problem.

Breakthrough Bleeding and no period?

I have been on Alese for about a year now and when I first went on it I experienced some breakthrough bleeding off and on for the first 3 or 4 months. It has been quite a while since I have experienced that and then all of a sudden last week I started bleeding, which is a week before my period was suppose to start. Well the breakthrough bleeding seemed more like a regular period b/c I bled all week. I was suppose to start my period on Sunday and still nothing. Was I suppose to stop taking my pills last week when I was bleeding b/c I didn't and now this week i'm not taking any pills b/c i'm suppose to have my period but I don't. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests and both were negative. Any suggestions? Is this normal or should I call my doctor? So my boyfriend has started working in a strip club as a bouncer and was just offered the position of istant manager. I was so totally insecure and jealous I felt like it was ruining our relationship. A darvocet questions?

okay i have never done anything like this before....this is the first time i have ever touched narcotic pain relievers but i was in a lot of pain. i am on darvocet for ankle pain and yesterday i was in so much pain and it was too early too call the dr. i took 3 darvocet ( im supposed to take 2) at 6 am then 3 more at 12:30pm.....i didn't know how high the tylenol doseage was until after i took the 3 at 1230. now i am scared even know it has been well over 24 hours i have not dared to touch them again today, i just lived with the pain because im too afraid to take more tylenol! the dosage of the tylenol was 650mg each! ive done research and youre supposed to take only 4000mg over 24 hours and i took 3900 in a matter of 6 hours. i haven't had any kind of reaction and it's been well over 24 hours since i took anything. would i have had some kind of symtom by now??

Maybe its just that I'm not that good with machines, but pick any 5 monsters, and replace them with the VWXYZ (V tiger jet, W wing catapult, X head cannon, Y dragon head, and Z metal tank) cards, and add VW tiger catapult, XYZ dragon cannon, and VWXYZ dragon catapult cannon to your extra deck. Then the XYZ dragon cannon and especially VWXYZ dragon catapult cannon effects can really screw your opponent over. They work wonders in my Ancient Gear deck, and ancient gears work well with cyber dragons, and ancient gears work well with VWXYZ, so shouldn't cyber dragons and VWXYZ work well together?
