How do you get a guy to talk to you after you meet him for the first time?

I think this guy I keep seeing online is really cute. I know where he works because he lives by me. Me and my friends are going to go to his work to try to talk to him. He doesn't know who we are but we know who he is. How do we get him to text/contact me after we meet? He works at a card store so I don't really know how to see him again unless we talk and agree to hangout. He goes to a school close to mine but we have no mutual friends. He seems a little shy and awkward so how do I show him that I am interested subtly?
