Why are the Dallas Cowboys still the most popular NFL team just like the Yankees are of MLB and Lakers are of?

the NBA? eventhough the Dallas Cowboys have not won nor have they been to a Super Bowl since 1995, and have won just 2 playoff games since then, and it took them more than a decade to win their first playoff game since 1996, not only that, the Dallas Cowboys have not even reached the NFC Championship game since 1995 either, which was their last Super Bowl appearence and overall victory. Because in Sports the team that wins a lot, is most consistent year after year is going to have the most fans and at the same time most haters. Because the New York Yankees are the most popular MLB team, and the Los Angeles Lakers are the most popular NBA team, and yet those teams have won Championships in recent years, meanwhile the Dallas Cowboys have not, but yet the Dallas Cowboys still have the most fans, the most ***-kissers, bandwagoners everywhere, there are Cowboys fans literally everywhere and most Cowboys fans have never even been to Texas nor do they have any friends or relatives from there either.
